I am committed to protecting your personal information in full compliance with Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). I collect and use your data—including contact details and delivery addresses—strictly to provide professional photography services and to fulfill your orders for digital galleries, online products, and mail-order prints. Your information is handled with care, stored securely, and is never shared or sold for marketing purposes. By using this website, you consent to the collection and use of your information as necessary to deliver the high-quality products and services you have requested. If you order photo prints, I will share your mailing address with the photo lab so you can receive your order at home.
Terms of service
1. Services and Products By booking a session or purchasing products from April Mac Killins, you agree to the terms outlined here. I provide professional photography services and physical products (prints/mail-order). I reserve the right to use my artistic discretion in the shooting and editing process.
2. Payments and Fees All payments are processed securely via Stripe. For photography sessions, a 20% non-refundable retainer is required to secure your date. The remaining balance is due after the session. For online and mail-order products, full payment is required at the time of purchase. All prices are in CAD and the order is fulfilled by the lab.
3. Cancellations and Refunds
Sessions: If you need to reschedule, please provide at least 48 hours notice. Retainers are non-refundable but may be transferred to a new date at my discretion.
Products: Due to the custom nature of photography prints and products, all sales are final once the order is sent to production. If a product arrives damaged, please contact me within 7 days with a photo of the damage for a replacement.
4. Shipping and Delivery Mail-order products are shipped to the address provided at checkout. I am not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers or incorrect addresses. Digital galleries will be delivered within two weeks of the session date.
5. Intellectual Property and Usage April Mac Killins retains the copyright to all images. Clients are granted a personal-use license to print and share images. You may not sell, edit, or use the images for commercial purposes without express written consent.
6. Limitation of Liability In the unlikely event of digital file loss, equipment failure, or my inability to perform the service due to unforeseen circumstances (force majeure), my liability is limited to a refund of all monies paid.
7. Governing Law These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada. Any disputes will be settled in the courts of Edmonton, Alberta.
