After ten days shooting and two marathon days of editing, I just finished SkirtsAfire 2022. At this year's festival I culled ten thousand photos and the lighting conditions in our new venues forced me to nurture my skills in low light. I'm coming out the other side even better at tricky lighting and incredibly grateful for all the art I got to see and participate in.
A major highlight was supporting the Braided Journey’s Ribbon Skirt project with Cindy Paul, photographung the teens standing in the power of their regalia, and then seeing my photos fill the Westbury when the film was screened!
